English (USA)

CSASA-L is intended to further the academic study of Canadian South Asian studies and to enhance awareness of relevant South Asia-related events and resources available at Canadian universities and colleges. Although CSASA-L postings are archived publicly (see below), subscriptions are not open to the general Internet public.

To be eligible, members should (1) hold terminal degrees relevant to South Asian Studies, and be actively researching and/or teaching in Canada OR (2) be actively enrolled in a Canadian Ph.D. or M.A. programme relevant to South Asian Studies. Guest subscriptions are available to other active scholars with such qualifications, or to undergraduate students in Canada sponsored by an academic advisor. All subscribers are expected to be familiar with current methodologies and assumptions in the field. These eligibility criteria are enforced strictly to ensure that postings are academic, informed, and professionally relevant.
